He's here!

Born January 26th, 2013 after three hours of labor our new cowboy weighed 5 pounds 6.4 ounces and measured 19 inches. He weighed 5 pounds 6 ounces upon discharge the next day and weighed 5 pounds 13 ounces at his first pediatric visit when he was 6 days old.

So far, he's my biggest baby. Monkey was born at 37 weeks weighing 4 pounds 8.3 ounces, Froggy was born at 38 or 39 weeks (we weren't sure of his actual due date) weighing in at 5 pounds 6 ounces.

And this cowboy has HAIR!

I'm in full baby moon mode, slacking with housework, still unschooling, devoting tons of time to cuddling with my three boys.

This is going to be a cumulative post for every year we home school. We've been homeschooling since Monkey was a tot, starting with sign language and "everyday learning". Our first year of homeshooling was when he was 2 years old, I used the Letter of the Week curriculum until he lost interest. Today.

 End of another school week! It was so beautiful today and the mosquitos weren't bad so we had school outside today in between playtime. We've been using the ABC Find It sheets to play games for phonic practice, today we used sweet gum tree balls to cover them as he found each one from the clue card. Shaving cream for cleaning and writing practice was a GREAT idea... until I left the room to clean up and found shaving cream all over their bodies and our air purifier, whoops! Our local teacher and parent resource center has a TON of great shoebox workboxes available for rent, the first one I rented has two colored wooden balls attached to a short dowel rod, you have to push it through half way into the hole in the middle so you can slide it to one of the sides, Froggy really enjoys this!
