Our curriculum
This is going to be a cumulative post for every year we home school. We've been homeschooling since Monkey was a tot, starting with sign language and "everyday learning". Our first year of homeshooling was when he was 2 years old, I used the Letter of the Week curriculum until he lost interest. After he lost interest, I used various resources including Hubbard Cupboard , Confessions of a Homeschooler preschool , various resources for tot books . When he was 3, I used Montessori resources including Montessori at Home , and 1+1+1=1 . Monkey turned 4 and kept wanting more, I got tired of the hours I spent planning and preparing for each week, so I started buying curriculum, it isn't necessary, but for me to have extra time, it is SO worth it! Looks like you had a busy day!
ReplyDeleteWhere did you get the shirt template?
It was a busy day but a good busy day. The shirt is from abcjesuslovesme.com 2year curriculum week one.
DeleteLove your school board! And a great selection of books :)
ReplyDeleteThose pictures of jumping in the puddle are awesome! Fun day!
Thanks! Those boards have evolved so much they since i first started home schooling. Now they are the only consistent part of our school days, no matter how chaotic everything is, we always manage to at least have our calendar time.
DeleteYour school days put ours to shame! You fit so much in!
ReplyDeleteWe cannot get calendar time down. I've just given up for now on it. Looks like a full day of fun and learning!
And you found the Around the World book! I looked everywhere and couldn't find it.
Got the book from the homeschool used book fair. My Hubbie surprised me with it along with a great Latin book and civil war book.
DeleteCalendar time is sometimes the only part of the school day that goes smoothly. However it can be trying when you have an active little monkey. I try to make sure we have enough songs and activities to go along with the routine. We don't just go through the information, we sing and play through it. Once we have a computer again I plan on making a post detailing what we do.
I love those llama books! Looks like your kiddos had a blast jumping in the puddles. I need to loosen up more and let my kids get dirty! It is so much fun!
ReplyDeleteI always figure two boys will find ways to get dirty no matter what. The plus to getting dirty is how much easier it is to talk them into taking a bath.
